Today’s member spotlight features a very talented artist who goes by the nickname Mad. He’s been a member of ARDENT for about 9 months now and he’s known for his art, love of soccer, and saying “cba” and “innit” a lot.
So Mad, I hear you’re an artist. What kind of stuff do you do?
Interactive media. I’m not only an artist, I do animation, graphics, photography and some filming depending on the project. I do art usually when I’m at home, sometimes I do some graphics designing. I haven’t really picked my career path, so I’m not technically an artist yet.
Do you only do digital media? Can you draw or paint?
I suck at painting traditionally which is why I pretty much always stick to digital media.
That’s pretty cool. So is this what you’re gonna major in?
I guess. I don’t really have any other options in terms of career paths.
If you could showcase three of your best work, which ones would it be?
My most recent ones. Here’s one I made for another ARDENT member:
Here’s another one. It doesn’t look like a tiger, but it’s still cool though.
Those are really good. What about gaming? What kind of games do you play?
I don’t really know what’s my favourite genres. I like fighers, action adventures, sports (don’t scold me pls), horror, hack and slash and what not. Honestly, if the title is good, I’ll probably play it.
Do you have any favorite titles/genres?
If we’re going for favourite titles, games like The Witcher 3, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Infamous 1/2, The Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid 1/2/3/4/5, Rayman 3, Tekken 7, Dragon Ball Fighterz, Guilty Gear Xrd, Soul Calibre 4, aaaand I can go on forever. My top three would probably be The Witcher 3 because it brought so much to the genre, and Geralt is probably my favourite character I’ve played to date. Dragon Ball FighterZ is probably the fighter I’ve enjoyed the most and Metal Gear Solid 4. I usually switch it up though, there’s just so much good games out there.
Good choices! So I hear you’re from London. Do you like living there? Would you move anywhere else if you had the opportunity to?
Honestly, I don’t think I’ll move away from London. I just know this area and it’s people, and as much as I hate certain things that go around here, it’ll always be home.
Awesome. One last question, what would you eat if it was your last meal?
Mums spaghetti, no joke. If that was my last meal, I’d die happily.
A respectable answer. Thanks for letting me interview you 😉
